Love
What do I say of Love? It has been written about, sung about, fought over, it has healed and it has hurt. Love is what we are all about. God has given us a heart, to feel it and to share it. Enjoy it!
Leo F. Buscaglia put it quite well when he penned:
"It's up to us to give our relationships a chance. There is nothing greater in life than loving another and being loved in return, for loving is the ultimate experience."
"The day will come when, after harnessing space, the winds, the tides and gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of love. And on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, we shall have discovered fire."
- Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
"We are not held back by the love we didn't receive in the past, but by the love we're not extending in the present."
-Marianne Williamson
"To love is to give the Christ-spirit within, without any thought of return... Love is an inward beauty that flows from the heart, from the life."
-White Eagle
"Compassion is defined as an openness of heart that extends itself and its spirit to others. Exercise your heart “muscle” and make it strong."
-Gregg Barrette
"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
-Leo Buscaglia
"It's not enough to have lived. We should be determined to live for something. May I suggest that it be creating joy for others, sharing what we have for the betterment of personkind, bringing hope to the lost and love to the lonely."
-Leo Buscaglia
"One does not 'fall in' or 'fall out' of love. One only grows in love."
-Leo Buscaglia
"Love is like a mirror. When you love another you become his mirror and he becomes your.... And reflecting each other's love you see infinity."
-Leo Buscaglia
"The love of one's country is a splendid thing. But why should love stop at the border?"
-Pablo Casals
“For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of our tasks; the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation.”
-Rainer Maria Rilke
"Each of us has the capacity to see the beauty in another person regardless of their behavior or language. With this as a starting point, we can accept conflict as being an inevitable, normal and beneficial part of life.
There are specific ways of communicating that assist us to promote harmonious relationships with others. When we put these into practice, we will seek to behave in kind ways that benefit, not only others, but ourselves, as well."
